Making coffee might not be rocket science but making the perfect cup every time does require some skill.

For this recipe we’ll be using a French Press, a cylindrical pot with a plunger and built-in filter screen that presses hot water through ground coffee: it’s simple, it’s easy and loved the world over for creating an earthy, rich taste in your daily cup of coffee.

The grind itself is the secret here, with a medium grind providing the perfect happy medium. Avoid very coarse grinds which may clog the filter, or, at the other end of the spectrum, very fine grinds, which will pass through the filter, and nobody wants that.
